Gaming giant EA SPORTS has teamed up with the Barclays Women’s Super League on a series of videos and social shorts.

The 'BWSL Behind the Baller' content series was conceived to celebrate women’s football in the UK and its new place within EA SPORTS’ FIFA 23 game.

The series will feature videos and social shorts created from visits to Barclays Women’s Super League clubs around England, showcasing the unique personalities and top talent from the Barclays Women Super League. It will run on BWSL and 90min channels.

In the content, the hosts will travel to BWSL clubs across the country and challenge them to a 2v2 game of FIFA 23, with players playing as themselves in-game. There will also be trivia, Q&A and penalty challenges.

James Salmon, Senior Brand Marketing Director for EA SPORTS FIFA, said: “EA Sports is committed to elevating and authentically representing the women’s game on and off the pitch, and through our partnership with the Barclays Women Super League and 90min we’re excited to launch this series to showcase the league, teams and players and inspire a future generation of fans."
