Mobile entertainment company PlayPhone has launched its mobile content subscription service, Splash in Italy. Splash offers real tones from artists including Katy Perry, Metallica and Coldplay; premium games such as Iron Man and Indiana Jones; and the Dylan Dog comic series. 
Users will have unlimited use of Love Calculator, a new service that identifies their compatibility with a partner, as well as other mobile applications, including two daily feeds offering exclusive celebrity gossip and news.
Splash costs 5 (4) a week for three items plus one bonus item when joining. It will be available initially on Vodafone and TIM, and will go live on the 3 and WIND networks over the coming weeks.
(Italy) is a competitive market, with 74.5 million mobile subscribers, but Splash is offering Italian consumers something very different a huge library of compelling content at a great price, says PlayPhone EMEA Managing Director, Martin Bowley.
