eToro to sponsor four women’s football teams next season

Trading and investing platform has agreed partnership deals with four Women’s Super League teams: Arsenal, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Everton.

The collaboration will bring eToro branding to perimeter advertising systems around stadiums, while eToro will also be teaming up with the clubs on activations throughout the season.

eToro believes the partnerships - which also include sponsorship of the men’s teams at all four clubs - will help it to engage with the UK’s fast-growing population of female retail investors. It says the proportion of eToro clients who are female has jumped by a third since the Covid pandemic.

Stephanie Wilks-Wiffen, Director of Marketing at eToro, said: “Football and investing have traditionally been male dominated activities but in the last few years, this has been turned on its head. With the explosion of women’s football, and the growing number of female retail investors, it makes complete sense for eToro to have a presence at women’s games, where we can support the continued growth of this sporting community.”
