Borderless announces autumn public launch for its enterprise no-code VR platform

David Murphy

Virtual reality (VR) firm, Borderless, has announced the public autumn launch of its free, no-code, VR experience creation platform that has previously been available for enterprise use only. It is currently compatible with the Meta Quest and Pico Neo VR headsets, with plans to include the Apple Vision Pro.

Borderless is currently used by enterprise clients, including a well-known consumer electronics brand; a retail training provider; and educational nonprofit, ActOne, which uses it for  virtual field trips. Borderless said its platform simplifies the creation and delivery of VR experiences for a wide range of uses, enabling individuals and organizations to build immersive experiences in minutes with no headset required. Users can upload 180-degree or 360-degree video and images, and create interactive quizzes or surveys via a web-based tool, previewing their work as they go. A Unity uploader will also enable 3D creators to bring their work, including games, into the platform. Once an experience is created, users can deploy to their compatible devices, from headsets to tablets, simultaneously.

“VR is a powerful technological asset, and Borderless aims to make it approachable and powerful, to the technical and non-technical alike,” said Borderless Founder and CEO, Matt Robison. “We’re knocking down barriers to entry and aim to become the platform for creating and sharing immersive experiences; ones that have the potential for lasting positive impact.”
